The Fall 2022 issue continues our year-long celebration of the Oxford American’s thirtieth anniversary.
This fall, our writers contemplate origins, places left behind, inexplicable loss, as well as people and possessions lost to time. The issue taps into the senses: the sound of the natural landscape in Puerto Rico, the taste of an abandoned bend in the Mississippi River, the feel of driving country roads in Louisiana. New fiction from Elias Rodriques explores the difference between growing up and maturing, and in Farah Jasmine Griffin’s new essay, she searches for an ancestral home in middle Georgia. The issue also includes stories from rising country musician, Margo Price, frequent OA contributors Leslie Pariseau and Ben Hedin, and debut fiction from Little Rock-born Meghan Reed.
Pre-orders of the Fall Issue shipped August 17, 2022, and the issue is available on newsstands as of September 6th, 2022.
